Intermech Completes 50 Million Gallon Ethanol Plant In Burley, ID

April 2, 2008 – Intermech Inc, a Bahnson Holdings, Inc. Group Company, announced today that it has completed the 50 million gallon per year ethanol plant in Burley, ID.  Known as Pacific Ethanol – Magic Valley, the plant is the fifth to be constructed by Pacific Ethanol, Inc. as it expands to become the largest ethanol producer on the West Coast.  Intermech managed the site preparation, concrete, structural steel and tank erection and self-performed the pipe fabrication and mechanical installations.  Intermech also provided start-up support as the facility became operational.  The $110 million dollar project had a fast paced construction schedule with a June 15, 2008 completion date. The Intermech team compressed the total construction schedule from 8 months to 5 ½ months and the $24.5 million dollar mechanical package from 6 months to 4 ½ months.  With over 220,000 man-hours worked and over 200 craftsman on site at the height of construction, Intermech worked with the Pacific Ethanol management team to construct a state of the art ethanol plant that will produce renewable fuels for many years to come.

Intermech was selected for this project, in part, because of the company’s experience, versatility and leadership in the construction of fast paced projects nationwide.  We view this project as another example of our capabilities to construct complex projects ahead of schedule and within budget which allows our clients to take maximum advantage of their market opportunities.
