Intermech continues its successful history as the leading national mechanical contractor for the fabrication and installation of systems and components serving U.S. Department of Energy facilities. The scopes of work recently provided or currently under construction include both safety critical and non-safety critical installations at the following DOE sites:
- Hanford
- Savannah River
- Idaho National Laboratory
- Pantex
- Paducah
- Portsmouth
Systems provided include a wide range of utility piping, process piping, process equipment installation, HVAC systems, ductwork and controls. As an example, Intermech is currently under contract with Bechtel National for the fabrication and installation of nearly 3.8 million pounds of sheetmetal ductwork at the River Protection Project – Waste Treatment Plant currently being constructed at Hanford.
