McLeansville, NC Operations and Fabrication Center

McCleansville Regional OfficeThe McLeansville Operations Center has been established as a base of operations for the execution of Intermech’s Life Sciences projects. These projects include production and research facilities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. With approximately 15,000 square feet, the McLeansville facility has the capability to support the critical hygienic (clean) piping fabrication required for these demanding industries. Strategically located at the intersections of I-40 and I-85, the facility has excellent transportation access for regional projects and is in close proximity to Intermech’s projects located in the North Carolina Research Triangle Park area. Tim West, Vice President of Operations – Life Sciences, will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the new facility.

The facility has been designed with broad flexibility and has designated areas to fabricate hygienic piping as well as non-hygienic stainless and carbon steel piping as project requirements dictate. As an example, the McLeansville facility is currently supporting the hygienic piping fabrication requirements for the Merck & Co. VMF-102 vaccine manufacturing facility expansion located in Durham, NC, while also providing extensive carbon steel piping pre-fabrication for a major mechanical piping project located at Ft. Gordon near Augusta, GA.

The McLeansville facility also provides a additional support for Intermech’s construction projects in the Eastern U.S. regions by providing critical storage areas, laydown areas and for the staging of construction equipment and tools. The facility will complement Intermech’s existing Operation Centers located in Idaho Falls, ID and Richland, WA along with corporate headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC for coast-to-coast coverage of our major construction and fabrication projects.

This facility is an important step in the continued growth of Intermech and the expansion of the services and capabilities that we provide to our clients. We are excited about our new facility in McLeansville and the benefits that it will bring to our clients!
